Our online store remains open. I will be putting up some summer pieces in the first week in July, so please check again in a week or so to see what I have to offer.
さて、今年の夏は長野で過ごすことにしました。
ここ２年間は、日本に居たり留守をしたりの繰り返しで、ろくに家の手入れもできませんでした。雨漏りや木の傷んでいるところを直したり、布を保管しておくためにきっちりした物置を作る予定です（布に虫が付くのが怖くて）。
同時に、琉球藍も建てる準備も始めます。沖縄では琉球藍が不作のため、この春には手に入りませんでした。待って待ってようやく分けていただいた琉球藍です。ようやく暖かくなってきたので、藍も建ってくれそうです。
庭の様子も日々変化があって飽きません。あっという間に夏も終わってしまいそうです。
We will remain in Nagano this summer: I want to build a storage room adjoining our house for fabric I have to better protect it from insects, especially those which eat the cellulose in linen.
I will start soon to dye clothes with indigo I was finally able to source from Okinawa. I waited quite a while to buy this indigo, as growers there had to deal with drought and salt in the growing fields left by passing typhoons.
